Hi! I just wanted to take a few moments to express my appreciation. Two weeks ago, I succumbed to a telemarketer who told my husband and I that they would be in our area cleaning chimneys, and that they had a group rate. We accepted the service, and at the end were told we would need a stainless steel chimney liner for a large sum of money. Obviously I was hesitant, and did not know better, but was encouraged to get other estimates. I called a friend of mine (Susan K) who recommended your company (her parents, Richard and Eve F, had always used you at their home in E. Northport). When I met Kevin and Dennis, I was impressed by their professionalism. After they had done their inspection, they alerted me that my chimney had not been cleaned at all, and that I did in fact need to have work done. You can imagine I was horrified and I felt that I had been taken advantage of by the other company. Dennis was kind and patient and he explained to me exactly what my problems were, showed me pictures, and even drew illustrations on a separate sheet of paper. And, when my husband came home as they were getting ready to leave, he explained the whole thing, again, in detail to my husband. We both felt extremely comfortable knowing that your workers knew exactly what they were doing, and we felt confident that the work would be done professionally and correctly the FIRST TIME. Now that we have found your company, and know that it is a quality establishment, we want you to know that you have received a customer for life, and we will be happy to recommend you to all of my friends who, like us, did not know any better before.

Irish Sweeps recently completed a stainless liner install, including raising the pipe entry in the cellar, crowning the chimney, new cap, pointing the stonework above the roof line and sealing the stone/flashings. The experience I had with Brian was a pleasure from start to finish. Brian provided me with a great level of comfort during the initial meeting and proposal stage. His patience and presentation made my decision very easy to award the work to Irish Sweeps. I was able to recognize quickly that Brian knew how to do a proper job by the way he explained the details of the work to be performed. Many individuals have the ability to provide a good sale upfront but fall short on the actual install. Brian is not one of them. The way the work was executed was exactly how he said it would be. Brian was extremely respectful in my home. He treated the space as if it were his own. Between protection on the floor and the tip-toeing around to avoid hitting the walls and making a mess, I was very impressed. I even saw him using his shirt to open a door, to avoid getting fingerprints on the doorknobs.
The level of courtesy was beyond any I have seen from a contractor in my home. In addition, I was very happy with the quality of the work installed. I work for a developer/construction management firm. I manage complex development projects that run from $20 million to $300 million in size. I have dealt with 100's of contractors, so I have a high appreciation for what defines a good or bad experience in this field. Brian provided me with a great experience. He really has what it takes, and I wish I could run into more individuals like him in my industry. Unfortunately it's rare, which is why an experience like this one was so refreshing. Based on his professionalism, I will definitely recommend Irish Sweeps to my friends, family and colleagues.

I had been having trouble with the damper handle on my Vermont Casting wood stove and had put in a call to your office to see if you could help me out. Brian came the previous Thursday and told me he would return on Tuesday with someone who knew more about the stove. Upon returning Thursday with Oscar and after about 40 minutes they figured out that the only problem with the stove was me, I had inverted the handle and was trying to close the damper by turning it the wrong way. I felt rather foolish, but without their expertise, patience and professionalism, I never would have seen the error of my ways. And they did not make me feel like an idiot. It's rare to find people in the service industry these days who actually take time out to do the job right They were fast, courteous and very neat. I felt I must speak out and say you have some great workers. I will definitely use you guys to clean my flue in the fall.
